As a plant medicine carrier and ceremonialist, it seems odd to some that I often recommend people avoid medicine journeys. So many people who embark on medicine journeys do so without having done intensive ego/wound work. They are under a false assumption that the medicine is a healer. The medicine however, is an ally to guide you where you are at. If you haven’t embarked on the healing road with a commitment to do the actual wound clearing work necessary.... plant medicine journeys can open you to entities, fantasies, delusions and visions that are not anchored in light. .
Moreover, many people leading plant medicine journeys are themselves still carrying ego projections which intermingle with your medicine. There are others who have utilized plant medicine journeys but have now entirely rejected them - believing you can “do it” on your own. Theoretically that is true. Practically speaking, those I’ve worked with have experienced radical karmic clearing in 8 hours that would’ve taken a decade or more - if even possible - of dedicated yoga practice. That being said... these are true warriors - having done extensive work on their wounds and inner children prior to their journeys. A true light-anchored medicine journey offers you a state of mind that frees you from the thinking brain. This rare state shuts down the prefrontal cortex, putting you in a state known as transient hypofrontality.
It is here that you experience that time is a distributed perception calculated all over the ego brain. In a grounded journey, you move out of time and into vision... which is anchored in the occipital lobes.
When we are in transient hypofrontality, we no longer process time. We enter TRUE expanded now. When we are immersed in the NOW we stop reviewing our past for pain. We stop daydreaming. We stop creating fantasy. We exist entirely outside the conditioned matrix. These master plants are the earth teachers. They connect you to your light body. But only if you’ve cleared an open path. 🙏🏻

The canoe of He-Who-Is-Tattooed-Completely
Stands as a temple relic, glistening in the heat of the sun. There its bow, center, and stern rest on chocks. (Chocks: a wedge or block placed against a wheel to prevent it from moving.) In other words... The journey into the profound cannot be done if the vehicle.... no matter how stately the owner - is incapacitated. (Translation by Taupōuri Tangarō)
This is part of the mele (songs), central to hula Pele... Fire Goddess...
This phrase is like a world unto itself... like a zen koan ... profound truths unraveled through immersion... The vehicle... YOU as a human... no matter how “stately” you may be... you are incapacitated when you hold on to your attachments, wounds, “identity” and wounded inner children.
